Abdel Halim Awad, 41 years old, from Gaza city, was a Palestinian broadcast employee at Al-Aqsa TV. He was killed on November 18, 2023 as a result of an Israeli bombing that targeted his home in
Gaza City according to the London-based Al-Ghad TV, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, and the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes. Awad had been working full-time since the beginning of the war in Khan Yunis and had left to visit his family last week, his colleague Ziad AlMokayyed told CPJ via messaging app.


Another media worker of the Al-Aqsa media group, Amr Rabah Abu Hayya was also killed the same day in an in an Israeli bombing that targeted their homes in Gaza City
