Full Name: Abdo Tahir Masaleh Al-Saadi | عبده طاهر مصلح الصعدي
Killed in an Israeli bombing of the offices of two press outlets namely, September 26 and Al-Yaman newspapers, in the Yemeni capital, killing 25 journalists.
In a farewell post on Facebook, his nephew, photographer Akram Taj al-Din, testified: " He was a calm, kind-hearted man of high moral character who had always lived among us as a beacon of patience and determination. Uncle Hamoud was an employee in the Moral Guidance Department, working quietly and diligently for a meager wage. He and his colleagues were trapped when the building collapsed on top of them. The stones imprisoned their bodies, and the rubble wrapped around them in deadly silence. Everyone was left helpless as they remained buried beneath the debris. We searched for them in the darkness. Everyone kept trying to call them over and over, but their phones rang unanswered, as if time itself had frozen and the cries of their families had vanished into the emptiness of grief. Uncle Abdo and his companions remained there among the ruins and the blood, silently struggling against death until the morning of the third day, when their lifeless bodies were finally recovered."
