Full name: Al-Zahraa Mohammad Abu Sakhil | الزهراء محمد أبو سخيل
• 22 y/o, correspondent for Al-Elamya News (الإعلامية نيوز)
• Killed along with her journalist brother Ahmad Abu Sakhil and their father Mohammad in a late night Israeli strike on Fahd Ahmad Al-Sobah school in Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City. The three were displaced and sheltering in the school.
• A few days prior to her killing, Al-Zahraa had produced reports on the forced displacement from North Gaza and the ensuing harsh living conditions in Gaza City.
Al-Ilamiya News stated on its Instagram account : "Our colleagues Ahmad and Zahra were exemplars of committed journalists. They never hesitated to convey the truth amid challenges and dangers, affirming the noble message of journalism in exposing the facts and amplifying the voices of the oppressed. Their father, Mohamed Abu Sakhel, was also present with them at the time and became a martyr alongside his children."
