Full name: Aalaa Hassan Hmoud Al-Homs | الاء حسن احمود الهمص

Alaa Al-Hams, 34 years old, from Rafah, was a Palestinian freelance journalis & Correspondant at Palestine and Sanad Newspaper. She was killed on February 12, 2024, to her injuries after being seriously wounded in an Israeli airstrike on her family house in the Al-Geneina neighborhooin Rafah city, southern Gaza Strip, which resulted in the tragic loss of ten members of her family on December 2, 2023, according to Palestine Chronicle, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate (PJS), and the Cairo-Based Ahram online.​

On December 3, 2023,she was seriously injured, while more than ten members of her family, including her mother and siblings, were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed her family home.
In the details, her father, Hassan Al-Hams, told the Sky News correspondent: “The Israeli air force bombed our house in the Yibna camp in Rafah, and it was crowded with displaced relatives, which led to the martyrdom of more than ten people, and Alaa sustained serious injuries to her spine and feet.”

Alaa, who leaves a son, Abdullah, behind, was laid to rest on February 12 in the morning.
