Anas Abu Shamala, 27 years old, from Dier Al-Balah, Gaza, was a Freelance journalist was killed on October 9, 2023 due to the bombing of a house in Deir Al-Balah by Israeli airstrike.
On April 2026, more than two years after losing her son, her mother was shot dead by Israeli forces in the central Gaza Strip.
