Asad Shamllakh, 20 years old, from Gaza city, wasa Freelance photojournalist. He was killed during the Israeli airstrikes on his family's home in Sheikh Ajleen neighborhood in Gaza City, where more than 20 members of his family also perished, according to "la délégation permanente de l'Etat de palestine auprès de l'Unesco".

Asaad had escaped several times while moving through the streets of Gaza, as part of covering the war and its massacres, before heading to the family home to check on his family and check on their conditions. Shortly after Asaad’s arrival, the Israeli occupation raided his home in the Sheikh Ajleen neighborhood, reaping the lives of Asaad, 20, his mother Suha (47 years old), his father Abdul Nasser (56 years old), and his brothers Marwan (22 years old), Muhammad (18 years old), and Yazan (10 years old), in addition to his brother Ahmed (25 years old), his wife Warda (21 years old), and their children, the child Abdul Nasser (2 years old) and the newborn Omar, who was only 3 months old, killing him and his entire family. Thus, in one raid, the name of Asaad and his entire family was erased from the Palestinian civil records, and their killing became known among journalists and citizens in Gaza as the Shamlakh massacre.
