Full name: Hamza Wael Hamdan Al-Dahdouh | حمزة وائل حمدان الدحدوح

Hamza, a journalist for Al-Jazeera, was killed along with freelance videographer working for Agence France-Presse (AFP) Mustafa Thuraya in an Israeli drone strike on their car. They were driving to an assignment in southern Gaza when the strike occurred, according to Al-Jazeera, BBC, and AFP.


Hamza is the eldest son of the Journalist Wael Dahdouh, Al Jazeera correspondant. Israel killed Hamza alongside another colleague journalist Mustafa Thuraya.
Hamza lost his mother, brother, sister and nephew in an Israeli air strike in October. Hamza was devastated but continued to report and work despite everything.
