Full Name: Hassan Saeed Helmy Al-Qishawi | حسن سعيد حلمي القيشاوي

Palestinian journalist Hassan al-Qishawi was killed following an Israeli drone strike that targeted him in west of Gaza City while documenting the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike.

According to his brother,Hashem Al-Qishawi, he began filming the airstrike’s impact on his cellphone because he did not have his camera with him: “About half an hour later, another drone fired a missile at him, killing him instantly.”

Hassan Al-Qishawi was a freelance photographer who worked for the Indonesian news site Gaza Media and its affiliated humanitarian organization INH.

Muhammad Husein Gaza, founder of INH and Gazamedia, said Hasan Qisyawi was part of Gazamedia's initial team which was founded in 2018. Thanks to his dedication, Hasan was recruited to the INH media team since 2010: “Since October 7, Hasan has been the spearhead of the INH institution in the process of distributing humanitarian aid from the Indonesian people through INH which operates in the northern region until today he was martyred,” said Husein in his statement.
