Hassouna Aslim, 28 years old, from Al-Bureij Refugee Camp was a Palestinian freelance photojournalist at Quds News Agency. He was killed along with his friend, journalist Sari Jamal Mansour, on November 18, 2023 during an Israeli airstrike on his home in Al-Bureij Refugee Camp in central Gaza, according to the Amman-based news outlet Roya News, Al-Jazeera, and the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate.

Hassouna Yasser Hassouna Salim (1995-2023) is born in Gaza City. He holds a BA in Journalism and Media from Al-Aqsa University. He has worked as a journalist for Al-Quds News Agency since 2012. He was active on social media.

He was supposed to celebrate his wedding next December. In a video that was circulated of his mother saying goodbye to him, she said: “The most beautiful wedding and the most beautiful procession to you, my mother. You asked for it and you got it. The martyr is beloved by God. The most beautiful journalist in the world, my mother.”

Salim's friends shared videos from his funeral, indicating that he was planning his wedding soon, while his brother posted Salim's obituary on his Facebook page, commenting that despite all the threats he received and all the temptations, "he refused to keep quiet about delivering his message." He added that he always warned him, but Hassouna would answer him, "God covered it up... No one lives longer than his age."
