• Killed in an Israeli airstrike that directly targeted press tents next to the Nasser Medical Complex compound in Khan Younis at 2:45 am. Hilmi's colleague Ahmad Mansour suffered third degree burns and was seen in footage being burned alive while being unable to move from his desk. Another civilian accompanying the crew was killed by shrapnel in his sleep that killed him on the spot. Seven other prominent journalists were also injured.
• According to Palestinian media outlets, the tent that was targeted belonged to Palestine Today TV.
