• Journalist at the news website Al-Jamaheer, and member of the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate.
• Majd graduated from university in Media and Communications

• Killed by an Israeli airstrike near his house in Nuseirat, central Gaza. Moments before his death was announced, a strike against a house in Nuseirat had happened between 8 and 9 pm, and 8 people were killed.

• Majd had just returned home after getting vegetables from a store. Before the airstrike occurred, he was talking to his mother, asking what they wanted to eat. Suddenly, a loud noise rang out. Hearing this, Majd ran to the top of the building to see what had happened. Upon returning to his family, he said, “There are people who need help,” and left to assist them. A few minutes later, a second explosion was heard. His father Fadl ran out to find his son's body being carried by people, struck by shrapnel in the head.

His mother, Amal Arandas, whose photo of her son’s funeral procession as she joined men carrying his body, posted a message on Facebook saying: “May God from the highest heavens be pleased with you, my mother. May the angels of heaven and earth be pleased with you. We will meet in heaven, God willing, my mother
