Full name: Mohammed Riyad Abdullah Nofal | محمد رياض عبدالله نوفل
Killed in an Israeli assassination airstrike targeting Anas Al-Sharif in his Al Jazeera press tent. The airstrike killed 6 people including 5 Al Jazeera staff, and journalist Muhammad Al-Khalidi.
He had survived an Israeli bombing of his family house in October 2023. Israel later killed his brother Omar. Late June 2025, his mother was killed by shrapnel from Israeli artillery shelling late June 2025.
He was a close friend of Anas Al-Sharif and the brother of photojournalist Ibrahim Nofal and vlogger Jannat Nofal, both of whom document the living conditions in northern Gaza.
