Mohammed Sobh, was a Palestinian photographer from “Khabar” News Agency, killed in an Israeli airstrike on an area housing several media outlets in Rimal district in western Gaza. Sobh was killed in the same strike that also killed Saeed al-Taweel and Hisham Alnwajha.

On 10 October, the PJS said in a statement that three Palestinian journalists Said Al-Tawil, director of Al-Khamisa news agency and photojournalist Mohammed Sobh and photographer Hisham al-Nawajah, both worked for Khabar news agency, were killed by an Israeli airstrike that hit a residential building near Gaza City's fishing port. The three reporters were covering the evacuation of a residential building nearby, when the missile struck: Photojournalist Muhammad Sobh was at the newsroom of Palestinian outlet Khabar when employees learned that Israeli strikes could soon target a high-rise in Gaza. He went to the scene with his colleague. According to Saleh al-Nazli, Khabar’s editor in chief, they took all the necessary precautions, wearing protective journalist gear, including flak jackets and helmets.

Mohammad Rizq Sobh took shelter under a building “a sufficient distance away from the high-rise that was at risk of being targeted, but the building they sought out as a potential safe space was hit by an Israeli strike, killing Sobh and his colleague, Hisham al-Nawajah.

Sobh was described as a passionate journalist who loved his job, and who had a love of life with his wife and 6-year-old son, Rizq.
