Killed in an Israeli assassination airstrike targeting Anas Al-Sharif in his Al Jazeera press tent. The airstrike killed 6 people including 5 Al Jazeera staff, and journalist Muhammad Al-Khalidi.

Qraiqea was native of Al-Shujaiya, eastern Gaza City and was one of the most important voices in Gaza. He was Al Jazeera's main correspondent in Gaza City following Israel's assassination of Ismail Al-Ghoul. He played a key role in documenting Israeli crimes and living conditions through live reports to the channel.

Prior to joining Al Jazeera, Mohammed Qraiqea worked at several local press outlets including Al-Aqsa Radio alongside veteran journalist Islam Badr. Mohammed was renowned for his exceptional eloquence, vast culture, ethics and composure.

The IDF had executed Mohammed’s mother on March 19, 2024 during its siege and massacre at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, the same place where he was killed. After the IDF's withdrawal and the discovery of mass graves, Mohammed said he recognized her body by her nails. He was his mother's only son.

On March 18, 2025, the night when Israel broke the ceasefire, and exactly a year after his mother's murder, 27 of his relatives were killed by an Israeli bombing of their home in Gaza City, one of the worst massacre of families of that night.
