A journalist and correspondent for the broadcaster Palestine TV, Abu Hatab was killed along with 11 members of his family in an Israeli airstrike on their home in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Authority’s official news agency Wafa and the Amman-based news outlet Roya News. He was on the air on the nine o'clock broadcast and returned to see his children before returning to Nasser Hospital to be on the midnight broadcast, but was killed in his home, in the so-called save zone.
