Mohammed Moeen Ayyash, a Palestinian journalist and a freelance photographer, working for Gaza Now, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on his home in Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, along with 20 members of his family, according to the Amman-based news outlet Roya News, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, and the Palestinian Authority’s official news agency Wafa.

"At dawn today, Thursday, IOF warplanes launched several raids on citizens' homes in Nuseirat and its camp in the central Gaza Strip, and in Jabalia in the north. Our correspondent reported that photojournalist Muhammad Muin Ayyash was martyred, along with a number of his family members, following the bombing of his house in Nuseirat.

Al Mayadeen English statement

"@MayadeenEnglish The Wafa Palestinian News Agency reported the martyrdom of the photojournalist Mohammad Ayyash, along with several members of his family, as a result of an IOF airstrike that targeted his home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Central #Gaza.

With Ayyash's martyrdom, the number of journalist martyrs in Gaza since the beginning of the aggression has reached 63.

This comes after the Israeli occupation deliberately targeted two of Al Mayadeen's journalists, martyr Farah Omar and martyr Rabih Me'mari, on the border in southern Lebanon.

The occupation is deliberately targeting journalists as part of its policy to distort facts and assassinate the Palestinian narrative."
