Full name: Muhammad Jamil Muhammad Baalousha | محمد جميل محمد بعلوشة

• Balousha, a journalist and the administrative and financial manager of the local media channel “Palestine Today” office in Gaza, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Saftawi neighborhood in northern Gaza, reported Anadolu news agency and The Guardian.

• The Balousha family massacre (October 17, 2023) was a massacre committed by the Israeli Air Force against the Balousha family when it raided a house belonging to the Balousha family. On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, the Air Force launched a series of raids on the Saftawi neighborhood in northern Gaza, targeting a residential house in which members of the Balousha family lived resulting in the martyrdom of more than 11 martyrs from this family.

• On 17 October, Palestine TV journalist Mohammed Balousha was killed in his apartment due to bombings in Gaza city. PJS and media confirmed his death. According to arabic media, he was killed when his home in the Saftawi neighborhood in the northern Gaza Strip was bombed.

• Journalists performed the funeral prayer for journalist Balousha in the courtyard of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, stressing the continuation of press coverage and documentation of the occupation’s crimes.

• Salama Maarouf, head of the government media office, said: “Today, the Palestinian journalistic family bids farewell to our martyr colleague Mohammed Balousha, who was martyred as a result of a new massacre committed by the occupation against our defenseless Palestinian people by targeting the homes of safe citizens over their heads, leaving behind a long list of martyrs consisting of women, children and elderly people in a massacre against humanity.”
