Renowned host on Syria TV
Killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Mazzeh Villas neighborhood. in Damascus, Syria. Her murder was reported about half an hour after she had reported the sound of strong explosions over Damascus.
Syrian observers report that Syrian State media "Arab TV" (belonging to Assad Government) journalist Safaa Ahmed has been killed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) after a targeted strike against her car, after she completed her live report on Israeli bombings in Syria and Lebanon.
Hours before her murder she posted on her Facebook: "We await the coming hours raising our hands to Lord of the heavens, we beseech Him to cover it with protection. May God protect you, Lebanon... May God protect you, Syria..."
The day before, she was organizing the collection of aid for displaced Lebanese and Syrian from Lebanon in the wake of Israel's assault on Lebanon.
